Airboating

Airboating is a side activity set to appear in GTA 6.

During the Extended Look for GTA 6, Rockstar briefly showed off airboating in a swampy wetland region, likely in the Grassrivers. Jason is seen driving an airboat through a waterway, with manatees close to the surface and seagulls both on the water and flying nearby. A few NPCs can also be seen jumping into the water from a lookout tower, while Lucia is seated alongside Jason on the airboat.

It’s a short sequence that simply shows Jason driving through the waterway. If I had to guess, though, this activity feels tailored toward sightseeing, especially given how much wildlife is visible during this brief clip. Since Lucia is with Jason in this particular shot, airboating is another activity that can be experienced as a couple.

Hunters can also be seen driving airboats throughout the official screenshots, with some of them equipped with weapons. This could suggest that the passenger is able to engage in combat while the airboat is being piloted, although it hasn’t been confirmed whether Jason and Lucia will have the same capability during their own airboating excursions.

It’s currently unknown whether Jason and Lucia can each pilot an airboat during the activity.
