All Countries Where You Can’t Gamble at the Casino in GTA Online

Rockstar added an actual casino to GTA Online in 2019 with The Diamond Casino & Resort update, allowing players to take part in several gambling activities using chips, which can be purchased with GTA$. Players can obtain GTA$ in-game or through Shark Cards. Because this introduced a real-money spending element to the game’s online gambling activities, Rockstar disabled these features in several countries and regions where local laws apply to avoid scrutiny.

Here is an updated list of countries where you can’t currently access gambling activities while visiting the Diamond Casino.

If you’re from one of the 60 countries listed above, you can likely enter the Casino, but as soon as you interact with any aspect that involves chips or gambling, you’ll get a prompt that says, “This feature is not available for you.” Rockstar’s official FAQ explains that this prompt can appear for the following reasons:

This alert can occur because of age and regional restrictions, gameplay design, or the incompatibility between different in-game features.

The key phrase here is regional restrictions and this means that while you can still visit the Casino and access its non-gambling content, you can’t purchase chips or participate in its gambling activities, including:

GTA Online received a new Australian classification on July 22, 2026, which did not include a simulated gambling warning. This appears to have coincided with Rockstar disabling the Casino’s gambling features in Australia in late July 2026, although Rockstar has not publicly explained the restriction. While online gambling itself is legal in Australia, the Australian government has announced further measures aimed at reducing online gambling harms, particularly among children and young people, with some changes taking effect from January 2027.

If GTA 6’s multiplayer component features similar gambling systems, I expect Rockstar to impose similar regional restrictions in the countries listed above. Personally, I’m not a fan of digital gambling making its way into multiplayer titles like this, and I wasn’t particularly fond of the Diamond Casino’s real-world spending component in GTA Online either. Shark Cards already generate plenty of revenue for Rockstar, so I don’t think the company needs to introduce mechanics that could negatively influence its audience, particularly younger players who may be more vulnerable to gambling-related harms.
