GTA 6 has plenty of side activities for players to enjoy as Jason and Lucia, either individually or together. From sports and street racing to exploring the nightlife, there’s plenty to look forward to. With Leonida’s extensive coastline and waterways, water-based activities also play a significant role, including Jet Skiing, scuba diving, fishing, and, for something more relaxing, kayaking. Here’s everything we know about kayaking in GTA 6.
Kayaking in GTA 6
Kayaking is a side activity in GTA 6 that lets players paddle through Leonida’s waterways as either Jason or Lucia, either alone or together.
It was first shown in the official postcard for Mount Kalaga National Park and later featured Jason paddling a Crest Kayak, which comes with the Deluxe Edition.

During the Extended Look, Jason and Lucia are seen kayaking together through an urban waterway, with boats and ferries visible nearby. Lucia is being controlled by the player, while Jason is marked by a green dot on the minimap. This confirms kayaking as one of the possible shared activities for Jason and Lucia, and the footage also shows the activity can be experienced with either character individually. The scene could potentially be part of a date, although that hasn’t been confirmed.

Whether kayaking will feature dedicated races or other challenges remains unknown, but races in particular seem like a strong possibility given the nature of the activity. Given the game’s emphasis on fitness, kayaking could also contribute to improving one or more of the characters’ stats, although that’s just speculation at this point.
We know that Crest, which appears to be based on the real-life Crescent Kayaks, is the manufacturer of the kayaks in GTA 6. This is the first GTA game to feature the watercraft, and it fits perfectly with the game’s coastal setting. It’ll be interesting to see which dedicated waterways are ideal for the activity, but I’m willing to wager that Mount Kalaga National Park will be a good fit, given its abundance of natural scenery and wildlife.
The real question, though, is whether you can pull out a gun mid-kayaking. Only time will tell.
