GTA 6 marketing is coming — Rockstar’s new hire points to billboards, trailers and pre-orders dropping soon
The quiet before the storm may finally be ending. Rockstar Games has posted a job listing for a Marketing Production Coordinator in New York, tasked with overseeing asset delivery for a major global campaign — covering trailer deployments, outdoor advertising, digital content, and retail packaging. In other words, exactly the machinery needed to plaster GTA 6 across every billboard, bus stop and social feed on the planet.
Importantly, Rockstar doesn’t tend to hire for these production roles until creative assets are already finished and ready to go. Studios typically bring on coordinators of this kind around six months out from a release — which puts us squarely in the window.
This lines up with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick’s language shifting from “this summer” to “soon” when asked about the marketing campaign at a late April press event. He described the campaign as “astonishing” and noted that Take-Two “doesn’t spend money on marketing until we’re pretty close to release” — suggesting the machine is already moving.
All eyes are now on May 21, when Take-Two holds its next quarterly earnings call. Based on past Rockstar releases, a major update — widely expected to be Trailer 3 — is likely to drop in the days beforehand to set the stage. Pre-orders and a pricing announcement are expected to follow closely behind.
November 19 is looking more locked in than ever.
