GTA 6 is just around the corner, and if you’re as excited as I am, you’ll probably be wondering how you can best get your hands on a copy of your own. So, in this article, we’ll explore whether GTA 6 will be available on PS Plus at any point. Let’s dive in.
Will GTA 6 be on PS Plus?
The short answer is no, GTA 6 won’t be coming to PS Plus, at least not at launch. The only current way to get your hands on a copy of GTA 6 is by buying a copy. If you’re going to buy on day one anyway, I highly recommend a pre-order, as it nets you some free stuff in-game.
When will GTA 6 come to PS Plus?
Obviously, we have no idea, since neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has said anything on the topic. However, PS Plus is a great way to boost a game’s player base, so it could well end up on the games catalogue for a couple of months at some point.
That said, it took GTA 5 over ten years to go on PS Plus, so I wouldn’t hold my breath. It likely won’t take as long as that, however, and we might see it feature for a short time somewhere in the next five years. That’s obviously a huge time range, but we really can’t know what the developers have planned for it, so we can’t get too specific.

Which version of GTA 6 is best to purchase?

There are only two editions of GTA 6: Standard and Ultimate. The Ultimate edition contains the usual additional cosmetics that have become acceptable in this practice, but sadly it also contains actual gameplay elements not present in the Standard edition.
This includes a heist, shops, a mod shop, and even a classic car collection side activity. So it really feels as though GTA 6’s true price is $100, or you could opt for an incomplete version of the game and save yourself $20.
Hence, unpleasant as this decision-making may seem, it’s better to pay the full price and get the full game, instead of having certain aspects of the game simply locked to you. You’ll also get a ton of additional cosmetics and benefits as part of the Ultimate edition, so it is worth it.
When does GTA 6 launch?
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. If you’d like, you can keep up to date with our countdown timer and watch the hours tick by alongside us.
