Rockstar Has Planned Something Very Special for 18 November

If you’re a basketball fan or even a Miami resident, you may have heard that there’s an upcoming collab between the Miami Heat and GTA 6. First off, there’s now a giant “Welcome to Vice City” sign on top of the Kaseya Center, which is where the Miami Heat, a basketball team, play their home games.

In a post on Twitter / X, the Miami Heat announced the collaboration with GTA 6 and Rockstar.

As stated in the tweet, the court will be getting an overhaul, and they’ll also don new Vice City uniforms, trading Miami for one night only.

There’s now also a special section on the Miami Heat website, built in a similar style to the official GTA 6 website.

“A historic partnership,” the website says, “when the HEAT as Vice City host a never-been-done-before event…”

The website also promises special game night activities, special hardwood build for Vice City, and an entire collection of courtside apparel branded as Vice City.

Tickets for this one-night-only event range from roughly $125 to almost $2000 depending on where you sit (or stand), though this is when I looked at the website. The prices and ticket availability are subject to change, but for now it seems there are still courtside seats available, and plenty of space in the stands.

Vice City will play the Milwaukee Bucks on the night, offering basketball fans the additional excitement of seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis potentially play for the Vice City Heat against their old team.

All in all, the GTA 6 marketing seems to be in absolute full flow, and I’m seeing far fewer complaints from fans in the comment sections of late. Rockstar truly is spoiling us with the amount of information, special events, and fun we’re getting out of this legendary buildup period to what is likely to be the biggest game release ever.

It sure is fun and exciting. Now, if only they’d change their mind about those game discs…
