Leaked details describe a major upgrade to GTA 6's Wanted system. Police will respond within a designated search radius around where a crime took place and actively track players based on their last known activity — a significant shift from GTA 5 where cops would spawn on top of players regardless of distance. Officers will also recognise vehicles used during a crime, encouraging players to ditch their ride to drop wanted level. The community widely considers it a Red Dead Redemption 2-style overhaul of a system long criticised for feeling unrealistic.
