A former Rockstar audio designer revealed that the studio operates under an internal rule — any frame of the game, when paused, should look like a painting worthy of hanging on a wall. The standard has reportedly been in place since at least 2010 and speaks directly to GTA 6's visual ambitions. It also adds context to why development has taken as long as it has — Rockstar isn't shipping until every static frame meets that bar.
