It’s Still Happening, Even in 2026

FROM THE DESK OF KYLE

Why Can’t They Face Reality?

There’s always been a witch hunt of some sort on video games, but that’s mostly died down in modern times. The “fact” that violent video games cause violent behavior in individuals has been debunked by Oxford, and the American Psychological Association, just to name two of many.

And yet, with GTA 6’s marketing campaign set to take off in Miami, authorities are again pushing back with all sorts of non-sensical arguments. I wonder, do they think some of us will see a GTA 6 poster and go rob a store? Find ourselves in an area that looks like Vice City, and then go on a Trevor-like rampage?

That’s simply not how it works. Criminals do crime for a thousand different reasons, and I’m pretty sure GTA has never been one of them. There’s a huge difference between picking up a controller and picking up a freaking gun.

GTA has never been a celebration of crime, but a mere fantasy. Anyone with half a brain knows that, and knows a real criminal life is sure to be short, violent, and unpleasant.

I really wish they would stop their pointless witch hunt. But wishes don’t mean much, do they?

Enough yapping. Let’s get into this week’s meat, featuring the banger of all bangers so far, plus we try to answer a bunch of your GTA 6-related questions. Stay sane out there, just 68 days to go.

— Kyle.

THE HOTTEST NEWS THIS WEEK

Miami Sheriff Pushes Back Against Plan to Turn Miami Into GTA 6’s Vice City

Basically, what I talked about above. Now, some articles on the internet will have you believe that all the authorities are against GTA 6, but in reality, the reactions have been pretty mixed.

This article focuses on one of those reactions and isn’t reflective of all the authorities, keep in mind.

Rumors of the Week

Believe at your own risk.

HOT

Each character may have different endings

This one comes from @brayden, and it’s straight out of the Extended Look – even something I’ve speculated on regarding the criminal profile in GTA 6.

I think that both your criminal profile and the state of Jason and Lucia’s romance will impact the ending you get. The question that remains is, just how many different endings will GTA 6 offer us?

Thanks for the rumor, Brayden, it’s definitely HOT if you ask me.

BANGER OF THE WEEK

Inner Light

Elderbrook & Bob Moses · 2021 · GTA 6, Extended Look

If you watched the Extended Look, you’ve been waiting for this song to be our banger of the week, no doubt. I don’t even like electronic music, as a rule, but there’s something very special about this song.

It’s further spurred on by Cal’s words as it plays towards the end of the showcase.

“Might not feel like but, these are your glory days. The salad years, you know. Nothing is going to beat who you are now. You can’t see all the F*up sh* that’s looming on the horizon.

Enjoy this dude. If this right now is all that there is, all the time, it would be perfect.

Trust me.”

Man, really makes you think. Let’s enjoy it together.

Elderbrook, when writing the song, wasn’t picturing a sweaty underground rave or anything of the sort. He said in an interview that he was actually imagining the high school dance scene in Back to the Future, trying to capture the interaction between two people and the feats they overcame by dancing together.

The song was also finished over Zoom between Bob Moses and Elderbrook, which is insane considering what a banger it became. It also featured on the FIFA 22 OST.

I’m addicted to it, and I’m sorry if you are, too, now.

SCREENSHOTS OF THE WEEK

Screenshots of the Week

The best shots so far — community, our own footage, and official sources.

This week we’ve got Raymond, who really seems like a quintessential GTA character. Drop him into any GTA game, and he’s bound to fit in somewhere. The betrayal he faces when his partner, Ernesto, backstabs him by sending the cops to his lab is pretty sad, though.

But Raymond does appear to escape with Jason and Lucia, so we might well get to see him a few more times throughout the story of GTA 6. I’m interested to learn more about him and the shenanigans he and our power couple will get up to together as he, no doubt, seeks revenge on Ernesto.

He certainly seems like someone not to be trifled with lightly.
