FROM THE DESK OF KYLE
The Hype Period is Coming to an End, Folks, and That’s Kind of Sad…
There’s a ton of news and new stuff from Rockstar to talk about this week, but I also need to get something off my chest here.
GTA 6 is now just 33 days away. With how fast time has been flying for me this year, that’s scarily close, and it kind of terrifies me. This has been one of the most enjoyable hype cycles I’ve been a part of, and I kind of don’t want it to end.
That said, the gold at the end of this rainbow is GTA 6, so I’m torn. But we’ll probably never see a hype cycle quite like this one again, and I truly hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have – even the frustrating times when we were so starved for information.
Rockstar threw more stuff at us this week. Jason Schreier did a fantastic piece for Bloomberg on why GTA 6 took 8 years to develop. A part of that is how they basically doubled the size of the team to cut down on those notorious crunch times at Rockstar. He also made a YouTube video about it.
It’s a good watch and I can definitely recommend it.
We also got a brand new launch trailer for GTA 6, featuring the debut of Flower in a Hurricane, by Justice and featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
That last name cracks me the heck up. It’s quite a banger, though, and worth a listen for sure. The launch trailer is cool, too, and gives us a new look at Jason’s past, who seems to have had a dishonorable discharge from the military.
Raul is also shaping up to be one of my favorite GTA side characters to date, as he casually chokes a guy while eating a bucket of fried chicken, with Jason and Lucia looking on. And I thought Cal was going to be our comic relief!
I enjoyed Raul’s devil-may-care attitude during the Extended Look police chase, too. This guy is going to be a handful, for sure.
Anyway, I’ve yapped on enough. Here’s what’s going on at GTA 6 Bible, including the top news, another banger of the week, and more stories from around the site.
Please enjoy, and stay safe our there, we’re so close we can almost taste it.

THE HOTTEST NEWS THIS WEEK
GTA 6 Original Soundtrack Is Composed by Justice
By far the biggest news of the week, the composer for GTA 6’s original sound track was revealed alongside the launch trailer.
Justice is a French electronic music duo who often use rock and disco themes in their music, and that sounds pretty awesome to me. I mean, just listen to that launch trailer song, it’s so easy on the ear.
They have a stack of award nominations for their work and won a respectable handful as well, so I think Rockstar nailed this choice and from what we’ve heard so far, we’re in for some great music.

BANGER OF THE WEEK
People Are People
Depeche Mode · 1984 · GTA 6, Extended Look
Since we’re now so close to the launch of GTA 6, I’m going to make an effort to cover more of the music we’re going to be hearing in-game, and after appearing in the extended look, we’ll likely hear it at some point while cruising the streets of Leonida.
Despite a super interesting back story, Depeche Mode don’t actually like this song, and haven’t performed it live since 1988. Apparently, Martin Gore things the lyrics are weak, and Dave Grahan thought it was too commercial.
I still quite like it, especially when you consider that it was made (more or less) by throwing cookware down the stairs (yes, they actually used this to manufacture the aggressive Industrial Pop tunes in the track). And that it was recorded right next to the Berlin Wall in 1984.
And that’s not to mention the anti-hate message in the song, which the world needs more than ever right now.
SCREENSHOTS OF THE WEEK

The best shots so far — community, our own footage, and official sources.
This week was a tough choice, with so many different shots from the Launch Trailer to choose from. I almost picked the scene where Raul was choking the guy while eating fried chicken, but in the end, I settled on this one.

It’s Vice City, baby, and what a shot it is. We’re so close to walking those streets ourselves now, so this particular shot most piqued my imagination. Just how destructible will those buildings be? Will traffic lights still be made of straw paper? Will trees still be made of adamantium?
I can’t wait to hit those streets and start causing some chaos!
