The knife is a melee weapon set to return in GTA 6. Seems like an obvious statement, but it’s hard to call Rockstar’s next move at times.

The existence of the knife was confirmed in those unfortunate August 2026 leaks, so we don’t have any official images to share at the moment, but it would be rather weird to imagine a GTA game without a knife as a melee weapon. It’s highly likely that will be available for purchase at Ammunation.

The knife first appeared in GTA Vice City, and has been a staple of the franchise ever since, appearing in almost all of the GTA games since. Once we get official confirmation from Rockstar, as well as official images, we’ll be updating this article.
