Grand Theft Auto 6 is about to come out thirteen years after the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5, and it makes sense that times have changed since then. However, the massive streamer Asmongold seems to think that Rockstar Games shouldn’t change its approach, at least when it comes to treating women equally.
The streamer went live to react to the extended look of GTA 6. During the discussion period, one of his chatters said that Rockstar is attempting to avoid “misogynistic values,” though that apparently didn’t sit well with Asmongold.
Asmongold gives his take on Rockstar making GTA 6 “woke” after developers said they’re trying to avoid misogynistic values, seemingly by making Lucia (the female main character) a masculine girlboss 😳

Asmongold stated that “if you make a game about crime and you’re trying to avoid misogyny,” then there’s a good chance that the result won’t be good. While he did say that he wasn’t sure whether Rockstar actually officially commented on anything regarding this, the streamer said that he doesn’t want the company and GTA 6 to be “woke.”
The streamer did back up a little and say that viewers were likely too quick to jump the gun. According to him, there isn’t enough evidence to suggest that GTA 6 will actually be on the safer side when it comes to these themes. However, he confirmed that he’d be making multiple videos making fun of Rockstar if they “go woke.”

Fans Had Plenty to Say About Asmongold’s Take
While some of Asmongold’s fans said that GTA 6’s trailer made Lucia the center of focus too much, most seemingly didn’t see any issue. Most comments and live chatters say there isn’t enough information yet from the extended look, and that the final product will determine their stance.
Asmongold doesn’t seem to want to be too hostile toward GTA 6. His comments made it seem like the streamer believes that modern AAA games have “poisoned the well,” but there’s still a strong chance that Rockstar Games may be unscathed, and GTA 6 may not be bad.
