Florida Mom Runs Onto Youth Football Field and Kicks 13-Year-Old During Fight

There’s nothing wrong with parents wanting their children to succeed, especially during sports games. However, some parents seemingly take things a little too far with their support. A good example of this happened when 34-year-old Renee Lynn Lambert was attending a Pop Warner youth football game at Brooks Park in Fort Myers.

A fight ultimately broke out between two players, with recorded footage showing Lambert running onto the field and kicking one of the two players who were involved in the fight. While this would already be a cause for concern, things got even more serious because the person she kicked was a 13-year-old child. The kick also came when the kid was already on the ground, which definitely didn’t do Lambert any favors.

Witnesses called the deputies and told them that they saw an adult woman kick the child multiple times. Because the deputies were already acting as park security, they arrived quickly and took action. Later released bodycam footage also shows the ensuing confrontation.

As the footage showed, Lambert argued that the child had hit her with a helmet first. However, the deputy shut her down by saying that the reason for the arrest was that an adult was attacking a kid. The argument continued for a while, and Lambert allegedly tried to pull away when she was getting handcuffed. However, the arrest was ultimately made.

Lambert Was Charged For Child Abuse and More

It makes sense that Lambert wasn’t allowed to just walk free after kicking a child, maybe more than once. Because of this, Lambert was arrested and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm and resisting an officer without violence. The alleged victim also apparently told deputies that Lambert kicked him in the leg, though the investigators didn’t see any visible injuries.

Still, since the boy’s mother signed a statement indicating that she wanted to prosecute, Lambert quickly found herself booked into the Lee County Jail.
