Florida Woman Goes Viral After Banning Her Fiancé From Playing GTA 6

The launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 understandably has multiple gamers excited. However, a Florida woman on TikTok may have shown a different side of the conversation. TikToker Shelby Haas said in a video with well over 5 million views that there’s no way she’ll let her fiancé play Rockstar’s next mainline game.

According to her, players will have to maintain a relationship with a girl in the video game, which doesn’t sit well with her. She says that reported features such as Lucia getting mad if you don’t text her back or players having to take her on dates are concerning, and that women shouldn’t let their significant others play the game.

She further elaborates that the game will apparently have a “nudist community” and strip clubs where players can get private dances. Shelby Haas makes her message clear by saying that viewers shouldn’t let their “boyfriends, fiancés, or husbands” play Grand Theft Auto 6.

The comments on her video are fairly divisive. While some are saying that Grand Theft Auto 6 will have many people treating the game like real life and prioritizing Lucia over their actual partners, others are saying that it isn’t that deep. Other games have had relationship-related mechanics as well, and many fans state that Rockstar has confirmed that the relationship mechanic isn’t mandatory.

GTA Strip Clubs Are Apparently Causing the Male Population to Decline

The first part of Shelby’s video makes sense, but the general consensus in the comments is that she goes off the rails in the second half. After mentioning the strip clubs in Grand Theft Auto 6, the TikToker says that the entire male population is going downhill.

The creator asks why people are in love with pixels, which is starting a “whole Black Mirror-type thing.” She also says that guys aren’t able to pronounce simple English words such as rendezvous, which she can apparently pronounce without any trouble.

This half of the video caused much more backlash than the creator would have gotten without it. The comment section is a mix of people of all genders saying that it’s just a game and that gamers have probably done worse in The Sims or similar video games. One of the comments with the most likes is ironically someone saying that their GTA girlfriend wouldn’t treat them like this.
