The Grand Theft Auto series has never been the most child-friendly, but that doesn’t mean the games are even comparable to gory franchises such as Mortal Kombat. While the general expectations were that GTA 6 would also be fairly tame in terms of gore, that doesn’t seem to be the case, at least according to the Spanish creator ElRubius.
The creator was reportedly invited to Rockstar North before the extended look came out, where he witnessed exclusive gameplay of GTA 6. He revealed a bunch of information already, including the apparent lack of children and high-end cars having GPS trackers. However, the most interesting detail he gave fans is related to the gore.
Full Dismemberment Confirmed in GTA VI + New Details from ElRubius’ Stream
by u/RealityCheckGiver in GTA6
According to ElRubius, GTA 6 doesn’t hold anything back when it comes to gore. He states that the game will feature full limb dismemberment, which means that players will be able to do much more than just blow heads off. GTA 5 had gore to an extent, but that was mostly limited to NPCs reacting to where they were shot.
GTA 6 reportedly doesn’t just stop at taking down enemies. Players are also able to keep bodies in their car’s trunks, likely for missions that require something similar to this. Some players wonder whether only bodies are limited to being shoved in trunks, or if the game will also let players transport living NPCs this way too.

GTA 6’s Realism Goes Beyond Its Graphics
The dismemberment claim also comes after Brazilian creator Davy Jones discussed GTA 6’s approach to realism. Reports of cigarettes lasting a while instead of just being part of a second-long animation suggest that Rockstar is trying to push the game’s realism to a new level.
ElRubius also stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 will give players more freedom of choice. A good example of this is the famous dive that Jason does in the game’s extended look. According to the Spanish creator, players will be able to control how their characters dive, somewhat similar to Spider-Man’s flips in Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2.
