Man Faces 21 Charges After Going Full Trevor From GTA V During a Two-Day Crime Spree in Miami-Dade

A 23-year-old man went on a two-day crime spree in Miami-Dade County. According to Local 10’s report everything started when he allegedly fired at his ex-girlfriend’s home at 9:50. The next day, Karyne E. David allegedly pointed a rifle at a Miami Gardens special victims unit detective. Naturally, the detective used his own duty pistol, prompting a pursuit to start.

David was already armed with an AK-style Century Arms Draco, so the chase was more dangerous than one would assume at first glance. According to police reports, David set his rifle on the window of the car he was driving and started firing at the pursuing officers. The detectives fired back at the alleged criminal, and one bullet allegedly made contact with David.

The car chase came to an end when David crashed into some large bushes on the side of the road. As if his car had been flipped in a GTA game, David quickly left his vehicle and started running on foot. According to police reports, the authorities managed to catch and detain him before he could escape and continue his rampage.

The Rampage Turned Into An Escape Attempt

Despite getting arrested, David still seemingly had some fight left in him. He was taken to the North Shore Hospital to treat the gunshot he had suffered. According to police reports, the alleged criminal attempted to escape by detaching electrocardiogram leads from his chest to create a tool that he could insert into the handcuff locking mechanism.

Unfortunately for David, the escape attempt was unsuccessful. He was arrested by officers immediately after being discharged from the HCA Florida Aventura Hospital. Two cases were filed against him on Friday, and two were filed on Thursday, with him facing over 21 combined charges.

There may not be any publicly available footage of David’s rampage, but the final chase where he was allegedly firing shots at pursuing officers may make it tough for him to walk away after the court date.
