Paulo Avelino Says GTA 6 Is Worth Taking a Break From Showbiz

The Filipino actor, singer, and film producer Paulo Avelino is well-known in the movie scene. With millions of followers and appearances in multiple hit TV shows such as Bridges of Love and Linlang, it seems that fans will have to wait a while until they can see their favorite actor on the big screen again.

Avelino recently made a post on Instagram that’s directed at his fans and everyone he has worked with. The post started by dropping the bomb that he’s stepping away from everything starting October 31. This includes the movies, endorsements, and everything related to the acting industry.

The reason? The actor wants to play Path of Exile 2’s 1.0 update that drops on December 11. That has some ways to go, because Avelino will apparently be spending most of his time playing Grand Theft Auto 6 after being extremely impressed by the extended look that first dropped on Netflix.

Paulo Avelino wasn’t the only one pleasantly surprised by GTA 6’s extended look. While multiple content creators and fellow actors have voiced their desire to play the game, most of them have turned toward streaming to ensure they can still technically work while having fun. It seems Avelino doesn’t want to do that and would rather enjoy the game in his bedroom with no expectations from others.

Paulo Avelino Has No Plans to Leave Showbiz

Fortunately for his fans, it didn’t take long for Avelino to reveal the joke. The second-to-last paragraph of his post confirmed that he’d be available in March 2027. According to him, he’ll have a solid build that one can touch in Path of Exile 2 by that time.

The actor also said that he would have 100% GTA completion by March 2027, though some of his fans don’t seem to think that’ll happen. Not only will the game’s story reportedly be over 80 hours, but the side content that the GTA games are known for should keep people busy for a while. Still, with nothing to do, it wouldn’t be surprising if Paulo Avelino brute-forces that 100% completion to ensure he can get back to work with an undistracted mind.
