The Extended Look for GTA 6 is only a day away, and we now know that previews for the title will also go live shortly after. Rockstar has also sat down exclusively with Dazed Digital and revealed a bunch of new features for the upcoming title, including how food and exercise affect both Jason and Lucia.
Rockstar Confirms Food and Exercise Affect Jason and Lucia
Like Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will feature dynamic physiques for both Jason and Lucia, which will change based on player activity. Eating food will affect their weight, while exercising will visibly build and tone their muscles.
This was already hinted at in screenshots showing both Jason and Lucia taking part in physical activities, including weightlifting and mixed martial arts. It’s nice to see confirmation that weight and muscle will actually play a role in how the characters look, something we haven’t seen in a GTA title since GTA: San Andreas.
San Andreas famously let CJ’s body change based on how players treated him, with eating, exercising, and other activities affecting his weight and muscle. GTA 6 appears to be bringing that idea back while making it part of a broader character system for Jason and Lucia. Rather than relying solely on dedicated gym sessions or how much they eat, several aspects of their behavior can influence their appearance.

Food and exercise aren’t the only things that can affect the two characters, though, as sleep also appears to contribute to their physical appearance. Additionally, spending too much time on the run from the police or partying for extended periods can also change how Jason and Lucia end up looking. It also means players may notice changes to Jason and Lucia without deliberately trying to alter their physiques.
