Most crimes usually have something vaguely similar to a specific video game such as the GTA series, but the incident on September 16 in South Australia was a little too close for comfort. Things started just after 3:30 am when a stolen Toyota sedan was reportedly spotted on McInnes Avenue by the authorities.
The police naturally attempted to pull the Toyota over, but the driver allegedly refused to stop. It was traveling along Hampstead Road, so it makes sense that the police wanted to intervene before someone else got hurt. However, the driver was able to lose the police on that same road, prompting the authorities to scramble when attempting to relocate the stolen vehicle.

As luck would have it, the police didn’t have to look too far. The vehicle was spotted at the intersection of Melbourne Street and Mann Street in North Adelaide, where it had crashed into an Audi station wagon. While the Audi driver suffered some minor injuries and had to be taken to the hospital by the South Australian police, the driver of the stolen vehicle managed to get away. This is also where the whole GTA resemblance starts.
Instead of giving in easily, the alleged suspect decided it would be a good idea to run from the scene. He ultimately ended up on a rooftop on Stanley Street. He could have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for PD Webster and a police dog that helped the authorities locate the alleged suspect. Naturally, commenters were quick to say that the identified 17-year-old suspect was attempting to “lose his wanted level.”

The 17-Year-Old Wasn’t Alone and Now Faces Multiple Charges
It’s only natural that the alleged suspect was arrested for several offenses. These offenses included the illegal use of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving to escape a police pursuit, and unauthorized driving of a motor vehicle. However, he wasn’t alone in all of this.
It was discovered that the suspect was joined by a 13-year-old boy from Woodcroft. The other child was also arrested for interfering with a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, though he was released on bail. That’s more than can be said for the 17-year-old, whose bail was refused.
