The flashlight is confirmed to be making a comeback in GTA 6 after being added as a melee option in GTA Online. It was spotted in the unfortunate August leaks, and hence there is no image available just yet.
The flashlight will be used as both a tool for lighting dark spaces (naturally) and as a melee weapon. Various guns will also have attachable flashlights available. The design is based on a heavy-duty security flashlight, potentially a Kel-Lite flashlight or a Lenser M7R.
It’s likely that GTA 6 uses game logic for the flashlight as a melee weapon, and hence, beating someone up with it shouldn’t cause it any damage, but this remains to be seen.
The flashlight has been a melee weapon in the GTA universe since being added in October 2015 as part of a GTA Online Halloween event. It became a permanent addition after the event concluded and is still available at Ammunation as a melee weapon.
