Hammer

The hammer as a weapon was confirmed to appear in GTA 6 as early as Trailer 1, where the mysterious NPC “Hammer Lady” appears to break the fourth wall a little bit while greeting Jason with a tongue-in-cheek “Well, look who’s back” line of dialog.

She is seen again in the GTA 6 Extended Look, bashing a car while dual-wielding hammers.

This means there are animations for hammer-wielding in the game, but it’s unclear whether Jason and Lucia will be able to dual-wield hammers. What we do know is that the hammer will be a melee weapon in the game, perhaps even a tool, though the latter is unlikely.

It’s doubtful we’ll be able to buy hammers at the Ammunation, since Rockstar is going for a more grounded version of GTA with GTA 6. However, we may still be able to find them in the overworld and perhaps even purchase one at a hardware store. This is, to date, unconfirmed, but we’ll clear it up as soon as we know for sure.
