Wrestling is a side activity set to appear in GTA 6.

During the Extended Look for GTA 6, multiple montages showcased side activities, with Jason and Lucia taking part in all manner of activities around Leonida State. At the 9:25 mark, Jason can be seen taking part in a backyard wrestling match in a makeshift ring with padded wooden ring posts. A small audience watches as Jason is body-slammed onto a padded floor by a wrestler wearing sunglasses and wrestling tights.

Jason isn’t wearing traditional wrestling attire in this particular scene, but that’s not unusual for backyard wrestling, where participants often wear whatever they have available. A floodlight is also mounted at the top of a pole beside the ring, which may allow matches to take place after dark.

The UI was completely turned off during this showcase, so we’re unsure what prompts appear during wrestling or how the Health and Focus meters react to damage. The footage also doesn’t reveal whether matches have any win conditions, rewards, or other gameplay mechanics. That said, the wrestler performs a move that appears to be unique to this activity. A win could potentially grant a Stamina boost, but there’s currently no evidence to confirm this.

It’s also unclear whether the backyard wrestling shown here is related to the cage fighting seen in Trailer 2. Lucia was shown fighting an opponent inside a steel cage in that trailer, but Rockstar hasn’t confirmed whether the two scenes are part of the same activity or represent separate forms of combat. Cage fighting previously appeared as a dedicated activity in GTA 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony, so GTA 6 could potentially feature a similar activity alongside backyard wrestling.
