Basketball

Basketball was only ever seen once in the GTA universe, back in GTA San Andreas. Based on some light evidence collected from screenshots and the second GTA VI trailer, we may soon see basketball in a mainline GTA game again.

Basketball was available as a mini-game in the 2004 game GTA San Andreas. Since then, it’s been absent from all the mainline games and DLC. In San Andreas, you could shoot hoops and even dunk.

The main image shows some people playing basketball in the lower left corner. But this isn’t the only evidence. There’s also a hoop that can be spotted at Jason’s residence, eight seconds into the second trailer.

This might mean that basketball is set for a return in GTA VI. It would make sense, since both Jason and Lucia appear to be sporty people.

Whether we’ll see it in the game, only time will tell, but so far, there is a chance.
