The authorities in Laredo, Texas, were in for a surprise on Sunday, September 20, 2026. They were notified of a vehicle crashing into two other cars in the 700 block of Park Street. Instead of stopping to talk things out with the authorities, the identified Eduardo Reyes Ramirez decided to run from the scene on foot.

Police arrived on time and cut him off. They then arrested the alleged suspect, solving the crime before he could get too far. Naturally, the two cars that the alleged suspect crashed into also had people inside them. As a result, the crash caused some injuries, though fortunately no one was seriously hurt.

However, that’s the extent of what most onlookers who took videos of the incident know. According to reports, this wasn’t just a coincidental attempted hit-and-run. Instead, the police later realized that Ramirez was actually driving while under the influence. Because of this, the alleged suspect was taken into custody for an accident involving injury and driving while under the influence.

Ramirez clearly wasn’t wasted enough to be out of his senses, as suggested by how he decided to run away instead of staying after the crash. This only makes the whole thing even graver, since this means that the alleged suspect didn’t find it in him to ensure the people involved in the accident were alright.

Onlookers Caught the Entire Thing On Video

It didn’t take long for a video captured by a random onlooker to be uploaded to social media. The video clearly shows Ramirez on the ground being apprehended by someone. While the other person isn’t in uniform, there’s a good chance that he’s an off-duty police officer who helped the active police cut him off.

After detaining Ramirez, it didn’t take long for two other policemen to come to the scene to properly make the arrest. The whole thing happened right next to a signal where multiple people got front-row seats to the arrest.
