Elizabeth Boucher shortly after the crash

Florida Woman Crashes Into Parked Car and Punches Its Owner in Real-Life GTA Scene

Most real-life crime stories are fairly straightforward. But that was far from the case with a 24-year-old Elizabeth Boucher when she was in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Everything started when she crashed her Ford Bronco into a parked Honda outside a residence on August 30, 2026. While the impact already pushed the Honda across the lawn, surveillance showed Boucher continuing to accelerate after the crash, causing the Bronco’s back tires to kick up dirt and mess up the owner’s lawn. Commentators were quick to say that it sounds like someone kept the R2 button held down while playing GTA.

Things didn’t stop here, because someone informed the Honda’s owner what happened, causing her to come out and face Boucher. However, instead of solving things civilly, Boucher reportedly struck the other woman in the face. The owner retaliated and knocked Boucher down, but Boucher reportedly got up and attempted to strike the woman again when she was headed to her front porch.

This is when the authorities eventually showed up at the scene. According to authorities, Boucher was having difficulty standing and was swaying. When asked for her license, Boucher gave up her passport instead, and she tried getting into a police vehicle because she was “hot.” Boucher was also apparently confused as to why the police were there, because she said she wouldn’t get pulled up again, even though the police were investigating the crash.

When asked about the crash, Boucher reportedly said that she just hit the front of the vehicle, when that clearly wasn’t the case. She also refused any sobriety exercise or breathing test and attempted to walk away from the police. This was the last straw, as she then got handcuffed.

Boucher Faces Multiple Charges After Crash and Altercation

Boucher didn’t get off of this whole debacle freely. She was charged with DUI involving property damage, resisting an officer without violence, battery/touch or strike, refusal to submit to DUI testing, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. While she was booked and released on August 31, she is scheduled to appear in court on October 21.

The sheer weirdness of the situation attracted many eyes to this crime. Many kept saying that Boucher was acting like a Strangers and Freaks NPC that gamers would find in GTA V, or maybe someone who would appear in Trevor’s campaign.
