As the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 quickly approaches, the fans of the series showcase once again why they’re some of the most creative people out there. In particular, one detective-esque fan of the series thinks they may have found the exact real-life location that served as inspiration for Jason and Lucia’s apartment.
This apartment was first showcased during the GTA 6 extended look, but even that didn’t really show off too much. Still, that was apparently enough for fans, because they think they managed to find the building using Google Maps. This is even more impressive when you consider the fact that the building was knocked down in 2023.
A fan, prettyboycuh, uploaded a video on Instagram showing his research after the extended look dropped. He found a building that looks strikingly like the one shown in the extended look, with the same off-pink color, a parking lot that looks similar, and the overall location being across the road in Miami, Florida.
As mentioned before, this building was demolished in 2023. Because of this, prettyboycuh had to use a feature on Google Maps that not many people use. He traveled back in time to 2013 to find a picture of the now-demolished house, saying that it was because Rockstar Games initially started developing the game that year.

Rockstar Hasn’t Confirmed the Discovery
Despite many fans believing the building really inspired GTA 6, the company hasn’t confirmed anything. Not to mention, things start to fall apart when you trace the actual direction to the building relative to what was shown in the extended look.
According to fans, it’s more likely that Rockstar decided to take some creative liberties to avoid any sort of problems later on. Even if the building was demolished, they state that Rockstar basically managed to preserve a piece of Miami history, regardless of whether or not the company intended to do it.
