The streaming scene is much larger now than it was when Grand Theft Auto V first came out. Because of this, it’s only natural that GTA 6’s launch will be met with multiple streamers and content creators who will likely want to play the game live alongside their audiences.
However, streaming is much different than just making videos on a video. Since everything is live, it’s impossible for streamers to remedy any issue they may face. Accidentally playing copyrighted songs is one of those issues, though Grand Theft Auto 6 may have implemented a workaround for this.
GTA 6 will have a copyright-free music toggle for all content creators wondering.

When driving vehicles, players have the option to listen to the radio, which usually plays a handful of familiar songs. According to the YouTuber TGG, who visited Rockstar North’s office before the extended look came out, GTA 6 will have a copyright-free music toggle that content creators can utilize.
Rockstar hasn’t confirmed an official streamer mode or anything of the like in its marketing material. However, TGG was physically shown the game, because of which his word carries weight among the GTA community.

Copyright strikes have been a constant headache for GTA V and GTA Online players, so something resembling a streamer mode will be a lifesaver for many. Still, it’s important to remember that TGG only mentioned a copyright-free music toggle, though that doesn’t mean there may not be other streamer-friendly options that content creators could take advantage of.
GTA 6’s Music Toggle Could Be a Huge Win for Streamers
Despite not being confirmed, just reports of a way to potentially avoid copyrighted music have fans excited. Listening to songs while driving in GTA is arguably part of the experience, and while it’s possible to just turn the radio off, some commenters argue that this takes away from the core gameplay loop.
Not to mention, some streamers could just forget to turn the radio off, or it could be playing a copyrighted song when they get into a car. Most people agree that giving players an option to avoid the headache of copyrighted music completely is a huge step in the right direction, especially with how many creators will likely be streaming the game at launch.
