According to reports, a family allegedly worked together to commit crimes that involved multimillion-dollar luxury cars, international shipping, and a teenage suspect. The alleged suspects, in Katy and Houston, Texas, include 41-year-old Dheyaa Thabit Abd, 35-year-old Iman Ouda Al Saedi, the unnamed teenage son of the two, 29-year-old Matthew Gonzalez, and finally 30-year-old Saifuldeen Al Gburi.

According to Houston police, approximately 15 vehicles worth more than $3 million were involved in this incident over a period of three months. As for what happened, the allegedly suspected group reportedly impersonated vehicle owners, customers, or transport companies. Their goal was to allegedly redirect cars being delivered to legitimate buyers.

Investigators elaborate by saying that the group would allegedly disable factory-installed trackers and leave vehicles in commercial parking lots before moving them forward. Some of the cars were reportedly bound for overseas clients, but the group would allegedly ship them off to other buyers. According to the police, some vehicles were recovered, but in completely different places than they should have been.

Some vehicles were reportedly recovered in shipping containers at the Port of New York and New Jersey. The containers were marked as carrying rebar, which is a construction material, and the police believe that several vehicles weren’t even identified as of the time of the report.

The Group Also Allegedly Included a Teenage Boy

According to the police, the parents and their son were allegedly working together to collect vehicles and conduct counter-surveillance. The police have also said that they believe that the operation may have been active for years, but the reported $3 million figure relates to the vehicles that were identified in the investigation.

As for the group of alleged suspects, all five were charged in connection with organized crime. While several suspects were reportedly released on bond, Al Gburi remained in custody at the time of the report.
