The GTA series has always satirized American marketing and media, and in-game advertisements have been a big part of that tradition. From fictional companies loosely based on real-world brands to commercials that poke fun at the products and businesses they represent, these ads are plastered across the world, radio, and television in GTA games. Does GTA 6 continue that tradition? Here’s everything we know.
In-Game Ads in GTA 6
Like previous entries in the series, GTA 6 will feature radio and in-game TV ads, but on a much larger scale.
Rob Nelson, Rockstar North co-studio head, confirmed to IGN that “there are more radio and in-game TV ads than ever before. A lot more.”
Commercials We’ve Seen So Far
We’ve already seen a few examples during the GTA 6 Extended Look. In one of the safehouses, Jason interacts with a TV while Lucia gets ready. Before Jason sits down, a commercial for Juice Loose, an orange juice brand, plays on the TV.

The perspective then shifts to the television, showing an animated ad for Angstipan, a medication advertised as a solution to anxiety. The fictional drug isn’t exclusive to TV advertising, either.

It also appears on a billboard in the first GTA 6 trailer, accompanied by the tagline “It cures emotions.”

Finally, there’s an extended commercial for The Prairie Sandwich Box Meal that opens with a forest teeming with wildlife before introducing a fast-food combo of a burger, fries, and root beer that packs “only 30,000 calories.” Because, of course, it does. The commercial also features other fictional brands, including Chace’s, which supplies the Lasso Fries, and BrownStein’s Root Beer.

Watching TV in GTA 6
That’s at least three commercials we’ve seen in just a few minutes of footage, and there are a few interesting takeaways. If the TV is on, commercials will continue playing in the background. When sitting down to watch, you’ll have multiple viewing options. You can watch with the TV and the furniture it’s sitting on visible, or switch to a full-screen view that focuses entirely on the commercial.
Rockstar has also hired an external animation studio to produce multiple episodes of an animated series for GTA 6’s in-game television. During a preview at Rockstar North, Kinda Funny’s Andy Cortez and Greg Miller were shown several TV programmes, including an animated comedy that Cortez described as similar to Family Guy. The studio’s identity and the total number of episodes haven’t been disclosed.
Will GTA 6 Have Real-World Ads?
Despite the abundance of in-game advertising, GTA 6 won’t feature real-world product placement or brand partnerships. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed this in April 2026, explaining to Variety:
It’s a fictional world, and everything in it is fictional. So we’re not even at risk of doing brand partnerships because all the brands are made up. And I think that keeps us pure.
This means the advertisements we’ve seen so far are part of Rockstar’s satire rather than paid promotions for real-world products.
