We now have a pretty stacked cast in GTA 6 so far. We don’t know for sure who will be major characters and who won’t, but we’re starting a list anyway. Once we have more information, we’ll update the list according to the roles the characters play, as well.
For now, here are all the characters in GTA 6, including some speculation and assumptions that will also be cleaned up once we get our hands on the game.
All Characters in GTA 6
Jason Duval

Jason is the protagonist alongside Lucia Caminos. He has a background in the military, where he seems to have been dishonorably discharged. He grew up around criminals, so returning to the life after the military must have seemed only natural. However, he wants an easy life, and doesn’t care all that much about riches and wealth, if we’re reading him right.
He seems like a laid-back type, but is very skilled with guns and not someone you would want to cross.

We (presumably) join him at a time when he’s working as a drug runner and enforcer for Brian Heder, and in return he lives at one of Brian’s properties rent-free. One has to assume that he gets some cash for his work, too.
Throughout the trailers, he can be seen getting up to all sorts of mischief with his girlfriend and partner-in-crime, Lucia, including a showing of Jason’s skill during the Extended Look, where he takes out a bunch of bad guys. That said, much of that is probably player skill, and we’ll have to wait and see just how “good” our respective Jasons are!
He seems to care deeply for Lucia, as can be seen in several official screenshots, but Rockstar has also confirmed that we can break the couple up if we so choose, so that love might turn into simple admiration as we go.
Lucia Caminos

Ah, Lucia, without a doubt the sexiest GTA protagonist in all of history. Unless, of course, you’re into the whole balding, beer-gut thing Trevor had going on.
She is originally from Liberty City, and wound up in Leonida somehow. We don’t know how yet, but maybe it was to chase that dream of “the good life” that her mother always wanted. She learned to fight as soon as she could walk, making her quite the badass heroine.
She’s not infallible, however, as the grifters would have you believe. She gets into a wrestling match with a guy in the Extended Look and has a real hard time fending him off. She’s not some ninja, just a girl with some serious skills. She managed to get the upper hand through smarts, but is hurt, and then takes a tumble down an elevator shaft (don’t worry, I’m sure she’s okay).
If you ask me, she seems like a sweet, thoughtful (if fiery) person, and I’m looking forward to meeting our power couple.
Brian Heder

Brian Heder is an old-school drug runner from “the golden age of smuggling.” He is the owner of Brian’s Boat Works & Marina, which, let’s be real, is probably a front for his illicit activities. He employs Jason and Cal at the boatworks, and Jason also helps him out with his properties, “collecting rent money” when required.
Opinion time. Brian seems to serve as Jason’s father figure in the story, and this sets up quite a disturbing reality we might need to face during our time in GTA 6. So far, Brian is a very likable character, and the scene where he shares his wisdom with Jason is pretty touching.
Which makes him a prime candidate to betray Jason and Lucia. I really, really hope I’m wrong. I like Brian already, and having another Big Smoke situation on our hands would really suck. But hey, we all still remember the sting of being betrayed by Smoke. It’s what can really make a character memorable.
I doubt Brian will share Smoke’s love of ginormous drive-thru orders, though.
Lori Heder

Alright, I’ve assumed Lori’s surname here, and don’t quote me on that. In the above scene, I zoomed in all the way and didn’t see a ring on her finger, so while Lori is Brian’s romantic partner, I’m not sure they’re actually married yet. She does wear a ring on the other hand, though. Brian isn’t wearing a ring at all, so there’s that.
Lori does make a comment in the Extended Look, saying how Brian was quite the stud back in the day. So, we do know that they’ve known each other for a long time. Perhaps they’ve been together for a long time, too, or found each other after facing their own, separate struggles with relationships that didn’t work out.
We do know that Brian has been divorced twice, so maybe he wants to keep things a bit more relaxed this time around?
Cal Hampton

Cal Hampton is probably one of the more interesting characters on this list so far. He comes across as comic relief, like Roman or Wade, but his speech at the end of the Extended Look is certainly rousing. Salad Years, indeed.
We know that Cal is a close friend of Jason’s; we know that he keeps snakes and treats them… uh, like proper pets in the Launch Trailer. You won’t catch me ever giving a python the opportunity to bite my face like that. And we also know that he listens in to Coast Guard comms and is a bit of a conspiracy nut.
But as with every GTA 6 character so far, he appears to be a proper, multi-layered character, and I’m sure there will be much to explore within Cal and Jason’s friendship. He’s probably the character I look forward to getting to know most so far, but the others aren’t far behind, either.
Boobie Ike

We don’t know much about Boobie just yet. We do know that he is a businessman in Vice City who runs both legal and illicit businesses. Thanks to the Extended Look, we also know that he buys drugs from Raymond — probably for the strip club he owns (the Jack of Hearts).
He even has a record label, but that much can be gleaned easily from the official GTA 6 website. As for me, I don’t know how to read this man just yet. I wouldn’t trust him too readily, that’s for sure.
Why? Because he willingly sent Jason and Lucia into the proverbial snake pit to go get his drugs, knowing that Raymond had halted supply for the time being. That makes him seem a tad ruthless, and that he won’t hesitate to step on others, even place them in danger, to get what he wants.
Let’s keep a close eye on this man, folks.
Dre’Quan Priest

From all I’ve seen so far, Dre’Quan seems cool. He’s another good friend of Jason’s, and is passionate about music. That’s his dream, anyway, but he’s found himself dealing and hustling to try and get ahead.
Again, we don’t see too much of him in the trailers and the Extended Look, so I’m not sure what to make of him just yet. He seems to genuinely like Jason and Lucia, and he can also be seen hanging out with Jason after the gameplay switches from Lucia to Jason in the Extended Look.
He also seems to be a Manatees fan (Vice City’s football or basketball team, not entirely sure which). But other than that, we’ll have to wait for the game to get to know him a little better.
Bae-Luxe

Ugh, I’m not much looking forward to these two — Bae-Luxe and Roxy make up the Real Dimez, a music group that had a hit single ages ago and is trying to become relevant again, according to official news.
I’m not keen on them because they seem like the type of people who always need the attention on them, and feel like they’re missing out, somehow, when it’s not. We all know people like this, and perhaps you are people like this (in which case I mean no offense). It’s just a personal choice I made not to hang out with people like this. My fellow introverts will fully understand.
So yes, I think the Real Dimez are going to be pretty annoying characters, and I may be wrong. We’ll have to wait and see, but even if true, I still can’t wait to meet them and see how they impact Jason and Lucia’s story.
Roxy

Roxy is simply the other half of the Real Dimez. Nothing much to add that I haven’t already said, but here’s a screenshot anyway. Let’s move on.
Raul Batista

Raul Batista is another top character I can’t wait to meet in GTA 6. He is a former member of the Dominican Intelligence and a former cellmate of Brian Heder. He does get a bit carried away, becoming reckless at times since he’s always looking for that big, thrilling score.
Previously, this was all we knew about him, and I imagined this James Bond-type character given the ties to intelligence agencies. What we got, instead, is what appears to be a rather goofy guy who really comes alive when the cops are chasing him, as we saw in the Extended Look.
He seems to be great fun, however, and it’s just too funny to me when he’s done pulling off this big heist, he leaves on the back of a scooter. I really can’t wait to learn more about him and see what sort of crazy antics we’ll get up to together in GTA 6.
Raymond

We first saw Raymond in the Extended Look, and thus we don’t know how much of a role he’ll play in the story just yet. He runs a drug manufacturing house, by the looks of it, and he seems like a rather dangerous character. That said, he seems to have a pretty level head and even helps Jason and Lucia escape the cops.
So that might just mean the first blossoms of a friendship, and we might just get to help him on his quest for revenge, which I have no doubt he will undertake, against our next character, also first heard about in the Extended Look.
Ernesto

We have zero idea of what Ernesto looks like, so while you enjoy this screenshot of Michael instead, here’s all we know about this guy so far.
Ernesto used to be Raymond’s partner in crime. If I had to guess, Ernesto handled the sales while Raymond handled the production side of things. Well, in the Extended Look, we hear Raymond say that his partner has disappeared from the grid. A moment later, a phone rings, and someone says to Raymond “it’s him.”
That all but confirms that Ernesto used to be Raymond’s partner, but then sets the cops on him. Whether Ernesto was a fed all along, or whether he cut a deal, is unclear, but he has certainly crossed the wrong guy. We might even have a choice on whether to help Ernesto or Raymond in this little storyline, but we’ll see. Should that be the case, I know who I’m helping.
How long until Ernesto sells us out to the feds, if we side with him?
Mendez

Mendez is one of the bad guys in GTA 6. Well, the more bad guys, because everyone’s essentially bad guys in a GTA game, right?
Anyway, Mendez appears to be the main antagonist in the trailers and Extended Look, but we all know GTA games generally have multiple bad guys throughout the story. Jason and Lucia seem particularly wary of him, however. In the Extended Look, when Raymond’s compound gets raided, it’s Mendez who leads the charge.
He ruthlessly takes out an unarmed gangster, and then Jason and Lucia duck into an elevator and talk about him by name. They appear to be rattled by his presence, and concerned that he might have seen them.
There’s obviously some bad blood here, and we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
Valentina

Called “Val” in the Extended Look, Valentine hooks Jason and Lucia up with a job. She appears to be linked somehow to the Megamundo corporation, perhaps as a secretary or personal assistant. Not much else to say here, except that fans know who this is, because we’ve actually seen her in GTA Online.
She actually appeared in the Money Fronts update of 2025, and is an associate of Mr. Faber in that. I’m not sure if it IS the same person, but it’s a pretty interesting coincidence, isn’t it?
Andrés de León

Andrés is an employee of the Megamundo corporation. He seems to be involved in operations or R&D to some capacity, but is somewhat of a childish party animal. All we know so far is that he is one of the people Jason and Lucia are paid to protect during the events in the Extended Look.
I find him to be quite annoying, but I’m not sure just how much he’ll feature in the story, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Petra Navarro

Petra is another character involved in the Megamundo corporation, as we can see in the Extended Look. At first, I thought she might be the romantic partner of Andrés, but she may also simply be his senior. I’m basing this off the fact that he calls her “honey” and “baby” when they meet in the hotel lobby.
Thinking on it, though, that may just be how he talks. It’s kind of hard to see the balanced, put-together character of Petra with someone like Andrés, but who knows?
We’ll find out in a matter of weeks, anyway. And that is all the named characters we’ve seen so far. There are obviously many, many others we’ve seen in the trailers and Extended Look, but we’re not sure who will play a major role in the story and who is just there to fill the roster in the scenes.
