FROM THE DESK OF KYLE
Every Success Story has a Beginning
I’ve been playing GTA since 1998, so you know I can pretend to know my stuff REALLY well by this point. Welcome to the very first edition of The Vice Gazette.
Going forward, this newsletter will serve as a pulse of what’s going on in the world of GTA 6 as we steadily approach November 19 and beyond. Every week, I’ll cover the most recent news, rumors, community posts, and more. But above all else, I want us to just have some fun together and help the time to launch fly by like we’re on a tropical vacation.
So if you’ve subscribed, I thank you from the bottom of my heart; your contribution helps keep the GTA 6 Bible project alive.
Without any further ado, let’s dive in. Please enjoy.
— Kyle.
THE HOTTEST NEWS THIS WEEK
GTA 6 Extended Look Premieres on Netflix August 27
After months of reading moon phases, mapping star charts, and desperately scraping the bottoms of barrels everywhere for news, we have a date for an “extended look” at GTA 6 from Rockstar.
If you asked me last week if we’d get something on Thursday, I’d have told we either get a trailer or we don’t. But getting an announcement of a Netflix Premiere for a GTA trailer? That was on no one’s bingo card, I’m pretty sure. Creative indeed. Good move, Rockstar.
This Extended Look premieres on Netflix on 27 August, 2026 at 3PM ET. If you don’t have Netflix, and you’re not willing to sign up for this, the video will be live on the official GTA 6 website and on YouTube six hours later, at 9PM ET. I suggest cutting off all contact with the outside world during those six hours, however, or you’re bound to get spoilers dropped on you.
It goes without saying that we’ll see some wild speculation over the next three weeks. There are already a good couple of fake posts doing the rounds on social media, especially regarding the length of the showcase. I’m personally more interested in the contents of the showcase than its length, but that’s an aside.
At any rate, take what you hear leading up to the premiere with a few bags of salt.

HOT OR NOT
Rumors of the Week
Believe at your own risk.
NOT
Trailer 3 will give us our first look at GTA 6 Online
This rumor has been circulating around internally for a while, and though the source is hard to pin down, it currently has a credibility score of 3.0 on the website.
The original listed sources don’t seem to mention anything Online-related (perhaps they were updated), but our small community seems to think there’s something here, having voted it to a fairly respectable score.
I can confidently say that this one is probably BS, and if I’m wrong, feel free to yell profanities at me in public. I’m willing to bet at least 2500 aura points that we won’t see anything GTA 6 Online-related until after November 19.
A strong NOT for me.
CONFIRMED
Insider Pins Trailer 3 to Early August, Timed to Take-Two’s Earnings Call
While this source isn’t listed on the site, it came from Tom Henderson and NateTheHate2, and both simply said we would get something from Rockstar – not specifically Trailer 3. That last bit was tacked on by the community.
So while we didn’t get Trailer 3, we did get the premiere date for the Extended Look. So this rumor was actually confirmed, sort of. Nice one.

BANGER OF THE WEEK
Billie Jean
[Michael Jackson · 1983 · Vice City, Flash FM]
In this segment, we’ll take a look at legendary songs from GTAs past, just for a little breather. Since we’re heading back to Vice City, I thought it only prudent to start with a song from the original game, Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. What a banger, indeed.
Billie Jean, released in January of 1983, was inspired by real interactions between women and his brothers, according to Jackson’s autobiography. Jackson also received letters in 1981 from a woman claiming that he was the father of her twins, which may have also helped mold the song.
It was in the original game, but after licensing issues, it was omitted from future releases. So if you want to experience that OG vibe of driving around Vice City with this banger on the radio, check out this video.
Want a hot take from me? Chris Cornell’s version is better. I know, I know, disagree with me all you like, but the raw, sadder tone really brings new life into an already very good song. In the end, I’d listen to either version with the greatest pleasure.
SCREENSHOTS OF THE WEEK
Screenshots of the Week
I was going to go with a shot of the Mount Kalaga National Park and speak about GTA 6’s landscape diversity, but then we had that crazy announcement yesterday, so here we have the new GTA 6 artwork related to the August 27 premiere.
Like all the GTA 6 artwork so far, it’s stunning, but I’m especially attracted to the palette they used in this one. It is a recurring theme, and it’s simply beautiful. Those soft pinks transitioning to the deeper blues is breathtaking, and Lucia in cut-off jeans with Jason very bravely tucking an unholstered firearm into his pants just completes it, doesn’t it? Hope he’s got the safety on, that muzzle looks to be pointed towards something I’m sure Jason would rather keep.

Once the game launches, we’ll have a section here to submit your own in-game screenshots, so keep an eye out for that.
