Your smartphone in GTA 6 is more than just an accessory. It features multiple apps that let you interact with the world, vehicles, and services. Both Jason and Lucia have their own phones, and here’s a look at every confirmed app in GTA 6 and what we know about each one.

Every Phone App in GTA 6

The following phone applications are available in GTA 6.

Snapmatic

Snapmatic is one of the most detailed apps we’ve seen so far. It’s a social media platform similar to Instagram and TikTok, featuring live feeds and accounts belonging to NPCs, businesses, and other entities. You can even track down NPCs featured in a live feed and see the events unfold in person.

Snapmatic has appeared in footage since the first trailer, showcasing videos, live comments, and posts featuring Leonida’s most popular and eccentric residents. During the Extended Look, we also saw a livestream HUD appear while a streamer was in Jason and Lucia’s trunk, hinting at how live streaming could intersect with the game’s criminal activities.

Both Jason and Lucia can browse their feeds and follow accounts, but neither can post anything themselves. As Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson explained in an interview with IGN, they’re a couple on the run, so they can only lurk.

Scooter Bros

Scooter Bros is a vehicle service that delivers your personal vehicle to you. After dropping it off, the Scooter Bro assigned to the delivery rides away on a scooter, which is where the service gets its name.

Rather than having your vehicle magically appear out of thin air, GTA 6 appears to make the delivery process a physical event in the game world.

WAINK

WAINK is a vehicle-scanning app that lets you scan parked vehicles and check their security, tracking systems, and value before attempting to steal them. The app provides several details about each vehicle, including:

  • Security: Shows whether the vehicle is locked, whether it has an alarm, and which tools you’ll need to get inside. These can include a slim jim for older vehicles or a key cloner for more modern ones.
  • Tracker: Identifies whether a vehicle has a tracker installed and specifies its tier. This is important when deciding whether to steal a vehicle, as you’ll need to account for the tracker if you want to get away with it.
  • Registration Cost: Lists how much it costs to register the vehicle as your own, allowing you to weigh the cost of keeping it against selling it instead.
  • Resale Value: Shows how much you can get for the vehicle if you decide to sell it, helping you determine whether it’s worth stealing in the first place.

Since it isn’t as simple as walking up to a vehicle, smashing its window, and driving away anymore, WAINK is an extremely useful app that makes vehicle theft a more involved process. It gives you the information you need to plan your approach, prepare the right tools, and decide whether a vehicle is worth stealing.

Ryde Me

Ryde Me is GTA 6’s version of Uber, a ride-hailing app that lets you book a ride to a specific destination. It’s one of the game’s fast travel options, but you can also choose to enjoy the journey instead of skipping straight to your destination.

During a ride, Jason or Lucia can share the vehicle with other passengers and engage them in full conversations throughout the journey. You can also skip the journey and fast-travel to your destination, making Ryde Me a convenient way to get around Leonida without having to drive yourself.

BuckMe

BuckMe is the banking app in GTA 6. Money stored in your BuckMe account is safe, while cash you’re carrying can be lost. You can deposit physical cash into your account through an ATM, giving you a way to protect your money rather than risk losing it.

Your BuckMe balance appears in the top-right corner of the HUD, with your available cash displayed directly below it. This makes it easy to keep track of both your bank balance and the money you’re carrying.

WhatUp

WhatUp is GTA 6’s messaging app, a clear parody of WhatsApp. We briefly see it in action on the HUD during the combat encounter at the end of the Extended Look.

Jason and Lucia can message each other through the app, and their conversations play an important role in their relationship. They exchange everyday texts, including good morning and good night messages, making communication part of their lives beyond missions. Ignoring their messages can negatively affect their relationship, while responding helps maintain their bond.

You can also text other characters in the game world, although the full extent of WhatUp’s messaging features remains unknown.

Fitness App

GTA 6 also features a fitness app that tracks Jason and Lucia’s physical condition, including their weight and sleep.

It gives you a way to monitor these stats for both protagonists, although we haven’t seen enough of the app to confirm everything it can track.

These are all the currently identified phone apps in GTA 6, each serving a different purpose, from scanning vehicles and managing money to booking rides and keeping up with Leonida’s social media. You’ll be pulling out your phone for more than just calls and texts, since it plays a far deeper role in world interaction and doomscrolling, of course.
